Znakomita pozycja, godna polecenia. Ponieważ praca ma charakter przeglądowy, niektóre sprawy są traktowane skrótowo. Ale jest bardzo obszerna Literatura ok. 100 stron! Żeby wyjść naprzeciw prośbie p. Świderskiego, podam nagłówki rozdz. 2 - Adult food resources in butterflies: Summary - Food use of butterflies and constituents of these food sources - effects of food on survival and reproduction - butterflies as pollinators (flowers from the viewpoint of butterflies; butterflies from the viewpoint of flowers) - coevolution of butterflies and flowers (butterflies: mutualists or floral parasites?) - dispersion and habitat use of butterflies in reponse to food distribution - conclusions.

Jeśli chodzi o zdjęcia, nie ma "dużej ilości ciekawych gatunków". W końcu nie jest to atlas. Zdjęcia stanowią jakby załączniki do tematów poruszanych w poszczególnych rozdziałach. Jest więc kilka zdjęć ilustrujących różne zachowania u motyli dziennych, np. T. sylvestris, G. rhamni. I. podalirius, L. sinapis, H. semele, P. napi. A.urticae. Jest cały szereg zdjęć parazytoidów, pasożytujące larwy i poczwarki różnych gatunków motyli dz. Jest trochę zdjęć skrzydeł motyli ilustrujących jak my ludzie je widzimy i jak wyglądają w świetle UV.
