If you like carrion beetles it could be probably interesting to you that two new articles about them were published at Journal of Medical Entomology. The first one is about the breeding and development rate of Calosilpha brunnicollis, which is East Asian species of carrion beetles (https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... _Silphidae).

In the second one we tried to poke a few holes into the concept of necrophagy in carrion beetles. We suggest some relatively simple methodology how you could test if the species is closer to true necrophage or rather predator based on its behavior (https://www.researchgate.net/publicatio ... _Silphidae).
